Life in Faro

Faro is a nice city to live in, it is a pleasant place, everything is close and there are plenty of sunshine and lovely people. Faro has very good climate, located quite close to the beach, can be visited all year round, it takes 20 minutes by bus and 10 minutes by car from the airport, also you can use Faro airport transfers to make this progress easier. When you arrive to the city center, there are plenty of cafes and bars.

When you arrive to the city center, there are plenty of cafes and bars.

Room prices are Prices are kind of expensive, the costs are around 150 euro for the room or 250 euro for the shared apartment house. The transportation is not cheap either. Meals cost between 5-20 euro per day, if you are a student you can get cheaper ones at the university and you can get expensive ones at the restaurant.

The resturante Cantinho da Ronha is a cheap place that I like to eat my grilled fish and meat, there are some cheap and expensive places in the old town. You should watch out for the restaurants where the waiters are inviting you inside.

The nightlife is quiet in the city, you can walk around safely in the streets during the night, it is not too crowded. There is a place called “Seu Cafe”, they set up fascinating events for students on every Tuesday.

Enjoy your life in Faro but do not just stay in Faro, the Algarve is a peaceful place overall, You should consider going to Tavira, Olhao, Lagos and Sagres.
